Description
Most divers wonder what comes next after getting certified to dive through a PADI Open Water Diver certification. There’s no substitute for experience, and certainly no better option than continuing your training under the supervision of a PADI Instructor who will help you grow safely and confidently.
Let’s explore some reasons why our divers often choose to take the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course.
- Dive Deeper: Extend your range down to 30 meters anywhere in the world with the AOW certification. The options are endless, from our local wreck that sits at 24 meters in Khor Fakkan to the deeper sites you’ll gain access to if you travel to destinations such as Egypt, Malta, Bali, Mexico, and more. Many liveaboard operators also ask that you have your AOW certification before joining.
- Explore New Sites: In the AOW training, you’ll take two required dives—Underwater Navigation and the Deep dive—and get to take three elective dives. Many students choose from among Night, Wreck, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search and Recovery, Fish Identification, and much more. These dives will take you to new types of sites and empower you to dive in diverse conditions.
- Gain Confidence: What an amazing feeling it is to trust that your training will keep you safe and enable you to enjoy your dives more. After certifying as an AOW diver, you’re now part of a group that has demonstrated their mastery of a new set of skills and shows greater ability to plan and execute more complex dives.
Elective dives include:
Wreck: Visit Khor Fakkan’s local wreck (Inchcape 2) and learn how to identify hazards, navigate a wreck, and plan dives around an underwater structure.
Peak Performance Buoyancy: Work towards perfecting your weighting and buoyancy through underwater skills practice that will make you a more streamlined and efficient diver.
Underwater Naturalist: Learn all about how to identify aquatic creatures and familiarize yourself with local flora and fauna you’ll see when diving in the UAE.
Night: Experience the magic of diving in the dark and learn how to communicate underwater using lights and hand signals at night while practicing your navigation skills in the unique evening environment.
Boat: Learn more about safe diving practices on a boat and review how boats are designed to accommodate divers.
Search & Recovery: Perform search patterns, practice your compass and line work, and learn how to safely recover lost items from the seafloor.
We offer the following packages:
- 2 dives from the boat (Deep and Wreck) and 3 elective dives from the shore – 1,499 AED
